Coolie total box office collection: Rajinikanth-starrer races past Rs 500 crore mark; sees a festival surge after a slump

The film continues to see maximum footfall from its Tamil audience. For instance, on Wednesday, out of the Rs 5.56 crore collection, Rs 3.35 crore came from the Tamil version, Rs 89 lakh from the Hindi version, and Rs 1.32 crore from the Telugu version. On Wednesday, Coolie recorded an overall 21.40% Tamil occupancy, 11.75% Hindi occupancy, and 20.13% Telugu occupancy.

Coolie worldwide box office collection

Many reports state that Coolie has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel shared the news and wrote, “#Coolie has surpassed the Rs 500 Cr benchmark at the worldwide box office. With this achievement, Superstar #Rajinikanth emerges as the only Tamil actor to have three films grossing over Rs 500 Cr globally. The upcoming #Jailer2 is well-positioned to become his fourth entrant into the Rs 500 Cr worldwide club.”

Coolie broke several opening-day and weekend records in the US, the UK, and Australia, which helped it sustain the lull period and eventually reach the Rs 500 crore mark. Coolie vs Rajinikanth’s Jailer

Rajinikanth’s last film Vettaiyan managed to collect Rs 253.6 crore in total worldwide earnings. However, Jailer was Rajinikanth’s last massive hit. His 2023 film’s worldwide collection stood at Rs 604.5 crore. Whether Coolie will be able to cross that benchmark, only time will tell.

Coolie vs Hrithik’s War 2

Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 released in theatres along with Coolie. However, Rajinikanth’s film has always been ahead of Hrithik-starrer. On Wednesday, War 2 minted Rs 2.50 crore and its total domestic collection reached to Rs 229.75 crore, compared to Coolie’s Rs 269.86 crore.
