Arun Matheswaran says there is a possibility of sequel and prequel to Dhanush-starrer Captain Miller: ‘The prequel is an even bigger film’

After Captain Miller, the director said he is again teaming up with Dhanush. “That film has nothing to do with Captain Miller. It is almost confirmed. It is a different story. Let Captain Miller come out first. You know about the industry. Anything can happen.”

Arun Matheshwaran also revealed that Captain Miller is about the transformation of a normal youngster into a rebel. The director said, “The film is about freedom. Both individual freedom and of the society. So, it follows Dhanush’s story in three different timelines. So, we wanted three different looks for him.”

“The film is about a flawed character. He is not always right. He has his ups and downs. The film is about his choices. Since it has a grey shade, Dhanush liked it. It is not a clean character. It shows the 12-year journey of the character. One is with the long hair that you see. For the look, Dhanush didn’t do any other film for one whole year. He usually does multiple films, but to be in the look, he chose to do just this film,” he added.

Period drama Captain Miller also stars Priyanka Mohan, Sandeep Kishan, Shivarajkumar, and Elango Kumaravel in important roles. GV Prakash Kumar has composed music for the film, which is bankrolled by Sathya Jyoti Films.
