After Vettaiyan, Dushara Vijayan lands another big project: Vikram’s Chiyaan 62

So happy to be a part of the film with @gvprakash sir’s music on screen after Aneethi, and it’s my first association with @thenieswar sir. Can’t wait to see my character through his lens. Together, I believe we will create something truly special that will resonate with the audience,” she added.

Dushara Vijayan made her debut with Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari in 2019. However, she got her big break with Pa Ranjith’s Sarpetta Parambarai, in which she played the role of a level-headed wife Pandiamma. Later, she again teamed up with Ranjith for a socio-political drama, titled Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, which featured her as an enigmatic drama artist named Rene. The character ended up being a subject of debate with one side claiming her to be pretentious liberal and the other calling her the champion of feminism. Kazhuvethi Moorkkan and Aneethi are other films part of her filmography.

On top of Chiyaan 62 and Vettaiyan, Dushara is also part of another big project, Raayan, directed by and starring Dhanush. She might also be part of Sarpatta Parambarai 2. The film was confirmed by Pa Ranjith, but the cast and other details of the film are yet to be revealed.
