Adho Andha Paravai Pola teaser: Amala Paul is seemingly no longer picking roles which require her to wait for a hero in shining armour to save her.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and composer Anirudh Ravichander on Wednesday unveiled the teaser of Adho Andha Paravai Pola, which stars Amala Paul in the lead role. The video suggests that the film is a survival drama set in a forest.

It is worth noting that Amala was last seen in Aadai, which was also a survival drama. The actor is seemingly all set to flex her muscle in this fast-paced action flick, directed by debutant KR Vinoth. We see her taking a stand for the weak and fighting the bad guys including corrupt cops. We may also get to see her engage in a duel with a leopard. In short, Amala will do everything a ‘mass’ hero would do in such an action film.

Amala Paul is seemingly no longer picking roles which require her to wait for a hero in shining armour to save her. Instead, now she is the saviour. She is the one who pulls a person out of certain death. She is the hero.

The title of Adho Andha Paravai Pola is taken from a popular song from matinee idol MG Ramchandran’s evergreen film, Aayirathil Oruvan. The title underscores the importance of freedom. It suggests that one must live his or her life as free as a bird.

The film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Samir Kochhar and Supreme Sundar.

Amala Paul is also part of upcoming Malayalam film Aadujeevitham, which stars Prithviraj. She is shooting for the Telugu remake of hit Netflix series The Lust Stories.
