This marks Vanitha’s fourth marriage, though it isn’t the first time she and Robert have been romantically linked. She married actor Akash in 2000 and has two children with him. Their marriage ended in 2005 after a prolonged custody battle, Hindustan Times reported. In 2007, she married businessman Anand Jay Rajan, but they divorced in 2012.

Soon afterward, reports started surfacing that she and Robert were dating and would tie the knot soon. There were also rumours that the two had already gotten married. However, she issued a statement clarifying that these speculations were unfounded. “I clarify that we are not married officially. We are good friends and both of our families are aware of our friendship. We both are planning to start a production venture together. Marriage is on the cards, but will come the official way,” Vanitha said, Times of India reported.

This time, however, Robert too has confirmed their engagement by sharing Vanitha’s announcement on his Instagram stories.

The situation took a turn when Robert claimed he wasn’t in a relationship with her and stated they were never a couple, as reported by The Week. Eventually, they stopped being linked together. In 2020, Vanitha married photographer Peter Paul, but that marriage also ended after a few months.

This time, however, Robert too has confirmed their engagement by sharing Vanitha’s announcement on his Instagram stories. She is the sister of actors Preetha Vijayakumar and Sridevi Vijayakumar and the half-sister of actor Arun Vijay.
