Tamil Superstar Rajinikant has always been known for his professionalism. That stands true even today, after decades of his being in the film industry. The superstar, whose enthralling antics in his films never cease to surprise his fans, is set to make his fans happy once again with his next, Lingaa — a Tamil film to be dubbed in Hindi and Telugu, .
During the audio launch of the film recently in Chennai, many incidents that took place while shooting the film were revealed, leaving everyone in awe of the actor who sat modestly listening to the discussion.
One such was the time when he was shooting for a scene near a dam. It was in the month of May and the actor was working in the scorching heat in Shimoga in the South for one of the climax scenes. Interestingly, he had to wear a three-piece outfit — a shirt, thick vest and leather jacket over thick pants, not to forget his luscious wig. The shot took quite some time to complete, but the actor never complained about the heat or the fact that he was uncomfortable. His vanity van was parked miles away as the road was too narrow for a big vehicle to make way and hence Rajini sir, as he is fondly called, could not get into the air-conditioned van and cool himself.
However, when the shoot was okayed and he had to change into another similar outfit, the unit members were all set to take him to his van. But Thalaiva (another name for the actor) refused to waste time and just called for two lungis, which he made the unit members hold around him and quickly changed into his next costume right on the spot, much to everyone’s surprise.
Lingaa, that is set to release on December 12, is an action, period drama directed K.S. Ravikumar starring Rajinikant in a double roles. Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha are his leading ladies.
