Siddhanth Kapoor, who made his debut as a sharpshooter Gyancho in Shootout at Wadala, plays a ‘crazy grey’ character in Anurag Kashyap’s yet-to-release Ugly, has now signed Bombairiya. The film is being directed by debutante Pia Sukanya — a film-maker, singer theatre actor from the UK, and will take off in November end. The actor is playing a delivery boy in the film.
“The film is a thriller comedy. My character is from UP who comes to Mumbai for a better life and becomes a delivery boy, trying to fit in as a Mumbaiite. One day, he needs to deliver a parcel before midnight and gets into a lot of trouble in the middle and does not even know the guys who are chasing him. Richa Chadda is playing a PR executive and Akshay Oberoi is another character so it’s like an ensemble cast,” said Kapoor whose character remains a mystery throughout the film and is referred to as ‘the biker’.
Kapoor also has Bejoy Nambiar’s Phathak — his first film as a lead — which will release early next year and Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa in which he will play a troubled character.
