Raveena Tandon replaces Sangeeta Bijlani in Onir’s Shab

With Sangeeta Bijlani opting out of Onir’s ambitious project Shab, since she was not comfortable doing intimate scenes on screen, it is now Raveena Tandon who has taken the onus of playing the role of a sultry fashion diva in the film. While confirming the news of Tandon’s inclusion in the cast, Onir texted us saying, “Yes, Raveena will join us next month once she is back from Los Angeles. She plays a fashion diva.” The director added that he is tweaking the script to suit ‘someone younger’.
Onir, who held a 10-day workshop for the film in Delhi, already had new actor Ashish Bisht and Arpita Chatterji, a Bengali actress attending the sessions, till things came to a standstill with Bijlani’s decision. Now with Tandon joining the cast of Shab, the workshops might take off once again. The film also has a French actor in its cast along with actor Sanjay Suri doing a friendly appearance.
