Producer-director Akashdeep acquires book right of Men Who Killed Gandhi

The first copy of Santa Banta, produced and directed by Akashdeep will release in mid-June.

The first copy of Santa Banta, produced and directed by Akashdeep will release in mid-June. The film-maker has also acquired the rights of the controversial book, The Men Who Killed Gandhi penned by Manohar and Roli books.
Currently, the pre-production work is going on with director Sidarth Sen Gupta of Balika Vadhu fame, associating himself with the project.

 

PVR Director’s Rare to release Naya Pata

PVR Director’s Rare will release the crowd-funded film, Naya Pata, on June 27 in select cities across the country. Directed by debutant Pawan K Shrivastava, an independent film-maker, Naya Pata is the story of a man’s struggle to re-establish his lost identity. Based on the premise of migration, Naya Pata revolves around the alienation and loss of the sense of belonging that a person experiences when he migrates to another city in search of livelihood. The film stars theatre actors Abhishek Sharma and Yashwardhan Singh, who play the protagonists in different stages of life.
