The film, which is based on the Aarushi Talwar murder case, will see Irrfan in a serious role of the lead investigative officer in the case. The film will showcase the real life incidents that occured in 2008 as the plot will revolve around the investigation.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Vishal Bhardwaj has composed the tunes for the film. Tabu and Sohum Shah also play pivotal roles in the film.
