The Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra-starrer, Hasee Toh Phasee is a quirky yet emotional love tale with a lot of crazy scenes.
For one scene Malhotra gets hiccups, but getting it right was actually a task for the actor.
“I get hiccups while driving the car and the other character with me in the car is insistent that I stop the hiccups. But since I am driving, we realise that nothing can be done to stop it. As it was a long sequence, it was difficult for me as I had to fake a hiccup and keep doing it repeatedly. Then there were rehearsals as to what kind of sound the hiccup should have, and to maintain it while saying lines, was a task. It looks funny when you would see it on screen but we had to do it as sincerely as possible” says the actor.
Love couch
Getting a panoramic view of Mumbai’s sweeping Powai skyline, with the backdrop of the Tulsi lake, both Malhotra and Chopra had to shoot for three days in a row while dangling in mid-air for another scene. “We had to shoot a scene in which we were stuck on the love couch for three days in the air. Whenever director Vinil Mathew felt that we did not look scared enough, he levered the crane, as high as four floors of a building, with us swinging in mid-air. It was scary on the first day, but soon we got used to it, and ended up enjoying that shoot,” said Malhotra.
