Following MJ’s footsteps

Despite being nervous about his act, Tiger Shroff confidently started his dance with Parkour. He twisted, turned and somersaulted with spellbinding ease.

As it was his first stage performance, Tiger Shroff was nervous and he rigorously trained for 10 days to perfect his act. He started with Parkour (which is a martial art form that finds its origins in obstacle training for military troops) and twisted, turned and somersaulted with the aid of props; Parkour can include varied movements from running, climbing, swinging and obstacle courses as well. He then went on to perform Whistle baja from his film after which he danced to Raat bhar where he performed Michael Jackson’s moonwalk.

His jump and roll timings plus the stunts required a lot of rehearsals. As Shroff says, “Being my first performance I was under a lot of pressure and was very nervous about missing a step or something. My act was physically very challenging, but it was great to perform. I love the part where I’m imitating MJ’s steps. Sanjay (Shetty) helped me a lot for it.”
