In keeping with the festive spirit of Diwali, bhajan samrat, Anup Jalota released his latest ghazal album Aashiqana on October 20 at a Diwali party hosted by him. The album was launched by Talat Aziz. Several celebrities like Sucihtra Krishnamoorti, Prem Kishan, Lalitya Munshaw, Sumit Tappu, Priti Seth and Akruti Nagpal attended the party. Speaking on the occasion, Jalota said, “I am mostly known for my bhajans and other film songs, but even ghazals are close to my heart and this album is a soothing melodious treat to all my fans and music lovers.” The ghazals have been written by Dr Navroze Patel, a Parsi doctor who also pens poetry in Urdu language.
