On the work front, for the first time in his career, Dhananjaya had releases in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada in a single year. While the Kannada film Kotee had a decent run, his Tamil film, Mazhai Pidikkadha Manidhan received a negative response. Nevertheless, he ended the year with the superhit success of his Telugu-Tamil bilingual Zebra, and a cameo appearance as Jaali Reddy in the humongous blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule. Now, he is awaiting the release of his much-anticipated action drama, Uttarakaanda, which reunites him with his Tagaru co-star Shivarajkumar, and features Aishwarya Rajesh, Bhavana, and Diganth in pivotal roles.
