‘Jai Dev’ recreated for Marathi film

The singing duo of Nooran sisters and music producer Sumit Sethi have come together to recreate the song “Jai Dev” by giving it a western touch for Bombayvoice.com, an online music portal.

The song will be part of the forthcoming Marathi film “Vakratunda Mahakaya”. It will be used to promote the film and will also feature in the credit rolls.

Sethi has created a new western sound for the track to reach out to the young audience as well.

Describing the song, Sethi said in a statement: “It has old values but new sound.”

Bombayvoice.com co-founder Prabhleen Sandhu also expressed his pleasure to announce the new song with Nooran Sisters — Jyoti and Sultana.

“After treading the national space with Sona Mohapatra’s track and international space with ‘The Transporter: Refueled’, we venture into the regional space as well with the ‘Vakratunda Mahakaya’ promotional video,” Sandhu said.

Directed by Punarvasu Naik, the film features Vijay Maurya, Naman Jain, Usha Nadkarni and is slated to release on September 25.
