“People think I’ve avoided the Telugu industry since I became successful in Tamil. But that’s not true. The only reason is that Tamil cinema gave me better roles,” she said.

Some of her best Tamil films include “Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam”, “Vellaikaara Durai” and “Kaaki Sattai”.

“My latest Telugu film ‘Vaaradhi’ has released. It’s another girl-next-door role, but here I perform subtly. These are some minor differences I look forward to in the roles that I’m offered,” she added.
