Gautamiputra Satakarni’s trailer to release in 100 theatres
Under the direction of Krish, the movie is based on the life history of a warrior of the Satavahana empire in the second century CE, Gautamiputra Satakarni.

To mark Balakrishna’s 100th Gautamiputra Satakarni, the filmmakers have planned a grand release of the trailer in 100 theatres across the globe in December.
“We are delighted with overwhelming response from Telugu audience for Gautamiputra Satakarni teaser. To carry promotional acceleration until movie release on January 12, 2017, we have decided to celebrate our hero Balakrishna’s 100th milestone film by unveiling Gautamiputra Satakarni trailer in 100 theatres simultaneously in the first week of December this year. Details of venue and other chief guest will be announced soon. The trailer will be played simultaneously in 100 locations, including the overseas regions USA, UK and other continents,” the producers said.

The makers also said that they have been planning this feat after the film teaser released earlier in the month got them a good reception from the fandom. The movie’s pre look, first look and teaser have crossed 2.6 million views on official YouTube channel.

Under the direction of Krish, the movie is based on the life history of a warrior of the Satavahana empire in the second century CE, Gautamiputra Satakarni.
The movie features Nandamuri Balakrishna playing the titular role. Shriya Saran will be paring with him as the female lead in the movie. It is her second film opposite Balakrishna. The filmmakers have also roped in popular Bollywood actor Hema Malini, who will be seen playing the role of Satakarni’s mother. Chiranthan Bhatt is rendering music for the film, which is being bankrolled by First Frame Entertainments on a budget of Rs 70 crore. The film is slated for release during Sankranthi next year.
