First poster of Sumanth’s new film Naruda DONORuda leaves Tollywood in splits

Under the direction of newcomer Mallik Ram, the movie also features debutant Pallavi Subhash as the female lead. Akkineni Nagarjuna is presenting the movie under the Annapurna Studios banner and Sumanth’s sister Supriya, along with John Sudheer Pudhota, is producing the film.

While the Bollywood fandom received the subject very cheerfully and the original movie became a hit, it will be an acid test for Sumnath to see how the Telugu audience would take this different subject as the actor is making a comeback after a gap of one year.

After Sumanth’s uncle Nagarjuna tweeted the first look, some of the actors followed the trail.

“Looks interesting!!I I wonder what @isumanth wants to donate. #NarudaDONORuda,” posted Nagarjuna.

Akkineni Akhil, cousin of Sumanth was the first to react.

“Loving this ! Superman or S****Man!Kickass first look with a kick ass,” Akhil tweeted.

Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati also didn’t hold back from sharing his curiosity, “Wonder what the other babies will turn out to be with the DONORudu like this 😂😂😂😂!! Superb one SumanthAnna!!,” he shared.

Naga Chaitanya fired his witty bullet after looking at the posters too. “All the best @iSumanth #NarudaDONORuda these swimmers are gonna hit bull’s-eye for sure.” he tweeted.

Not only that, ‘Lover Boy’ Nani called it a cool poster. “Haha… That’s a super cool first look @iSumanth .. So you are the biggest production house in the industry now,” he winked. And, of course, our Sumanth quickly retorted, “That was cheekily apt, thanks Babai! Hope you continue your fine run with #Majnu. From Sep 23…start playing, start loving, start donat… Oops,” he said.

Manchu Lakshmi expressed her curiosity after the first look poster was released. “Keep it coming @iSumanth. #NarudaDONORuda. Looking forward to this,” she tweeted.

The funny story behind the title

Sumanth coined the word ‘DONORuda’ after randomly stumbling upon it — while taking a shower! The famous Balakrishna song ‘Naruda O Naruda’ from Bhairavadweepam was also of help. He added the D in front of O Naruda, thus arriving at DONORuda, reported IdleBrain.

The report also said that, Sumanth started discussing this idea with his friends and when he randomly shared the title with director SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani at a film function, both of them were in splits of laughter. Rajamouli also told him to lock it and look no further.
