Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 contestants list 2025: With beloved actor Kichcha Sudeep set to return as the host, reversing his earlier decision to step away from the show, which he had announced at the end of the last edition, fans are all excited for Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12. With only a few hours remaining until the grand opening ceremony of the latest season of the reality show, speculation is rife about who will enter the house as contestants this time. Although the complete list of participants will officially be announced only during the premiere event scheduled for Sunday evening, the organisers have already unveiled the names of three contestants, amping up the buzz.

In line with the show’s style across all languages, the makers of Bigg Boss Kannada have ensured an amalgamation of people from various walks of life for Season 12 as well, with television stars, film personalities, social media influencers, and commoners entering the fray to fight it out in the house. A day ahead of the opening ceremony, it was revealed that actor Sudhir Balraj, popularly known as “Cockroach” Sudhi, has entered the show as the first contestant. Although he made his feature film debut in Alemari (2012), it was his role in director Duniya Soori’s Shivarajkumar-starrer Tagaru (2018) that earned him massive fame and eventually the nickname “Cockroach” after his character in the movie.

The second contestant to enter Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 is none other than television actor Manju Bhashini. Best known for her performance in the hit soap opera Puttakkana Makkalu, she has also appeared in a few movies. Manju initially rose to fame with her performance as Lalitamba in the 2000s television sitcom Silli Lalli.

Besides Sudhi and Manju, social media sensation Mallamma, popularly known as “Mathina Malli,” has also been selected as a contestant in the Sudeep-hosted show. Hailing from North Karnataka, she is known among netizens for her candid reels that reflect rural life. Considering that being unfiltered is her innate style, Mallamma’s arrival in the Bigg Boss house is expected to intensify the drama.

While the Times of India reported a few weeks ago that YouTuber Dr Bro, actor and former Bigg Boss Mini contestant Ramola, TV actor Sagar Gowda, filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh’s son Samarjit Lankesh, and actors Abhijna Bhat, Dileep R Shetty, and Payal Chengappa were among the rumoured contestants, none of these names have been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, a recent report by OTTPlay claims that the list of confirmed contestants includes Rashika Shetty, Spandana Somanna, Suraj Kumar, Abhishek Shrikanth, Dhanush Gowda, Megha Shetty, Bhumika Basavaraj, Jhanvi R, Shreyas Manju, Shwetha R. Prasad, Dilip Shetty, and Mutant Raghu, among others.

The grand opening ceremony of the Kichcha Sudeep-hosted Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 will commence at 6 pm on Sunday. Fans can catch the show on Colors Kannada or JioHotstar. Thereafter, the daily episodes will air at 9.30 pm every day.
