Pictures of popstar Katy Perry's secret love affair with former Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau went viral earlier this week. Images showed Perry and Trudeau making out on her yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. Now, Perry seems to have confirmed her romance with Trudeau indirectly at her London concert. While performing on stage at the O2 Arena, Perry encountered a zealous fan who went down on his knees and proposed to her. A visibly impressed Katy then said, "I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago." Two days prior to her concert was exactly when Perry was spotted romancing Trudeau on her yacht in California. Not just this, Perry made another indirect remark at new romance. "London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time… but not anymore," she said on stage at the London concert. Perry was dating British actor Orlando Bloom since 2016. After a brief split the following year, they got back together in 2018. They even got engaged on the occasion of Valentine's Day in 2019. Before her veiled remark at new romance with Trudeau at the London concert this week, Perry announced another personal development through her music back in 2020. In her music video for "Never Worn White," Perry announced that she and Bloom were expecting their first child together. Five years after becoming a mother to daughter Daisy later in the year, Perry split up with Bloom earlier this year. She maintained that both her and Bloom are very protective of Daisy amid their split, so isn't looking forward to any new relationships. However, as per The Daily Mail, Trudeau had been pursuing Perry since July. He'd fly from Canada to California to woo her, and the two were even spotted on a date at the end of that month. However, it's only a couple of days after her viral intimate photos with Trudeau surfaced that Perry has finally admitted to the romance, giving in to Trudeau's persistent pursuing. He's also coming off a broken relationship as he was married to childhood friend and telvision host Sophie Gregoire for 18 years from 2005 till their split in 2023. They have three kids - sons Xavier and Hadrien, and daughter Ella Grace. Sophie, meanwhile, responded to Trudeau and Perry's photo, writing on Instagram, “Sometimes we forget that nothing we love is ever meant to be kept. The people, the places, even the moments that once felt infinite, right?” Also Read: American pop star’s desi wedding in India had Diddy performing with classical dancer, Rihanna as maid of honor; it ended in divorce over a text Prior to Trudeau and Bloom, Perry was married to another Englishman, stand-up comedian Russell Brand. They even tied the knot in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony back in 2010 in Rajasthan, India. However, just over a year into their marriage, they split up. Perry later claimed Brand was very dominating and even ended their marriage over just a text message.
