Canadian singer Shubh recently opened up about the hoodie incident at his recent concert, for which he was attacked online. In response to criticism from trolls and actor Kangana Ranaut, the singer urged people to stop spreading hate. Earlier reports suggested that Shubh was "glorifying the death of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi" after he wore a hoodie on stage with a picture and date of Indira Gandhi's assassination on the map of Punjab. However, as reported by the Free Press Journal, the infamous hoodie did not feature an illustration of Indira Gandhi. A video also captured how the hoodie was thrown at Shubh by a fan. Reacting to the incident, Kangana took to her X handle and wrote, “Celebrating the cowardly killing of an old woman by those who she appointed as her saviors. When you are trusted to protect but you take advantage of the trust and faith and use the same weapons to kill the ones were suppose to protect then it’s a shameful act of cowardice not of bravery. One must be ashamed of such a cowardly attack on an elderly lady who was disarmed and unaware, a lady who was the chosen leader of a democracy, nothing to glorify here Shubham ji. Shame (sic)." Canadian Shubh is saying that he did not see what got thrown at him. But in video you can clearly see he saw it before showing it. He has not denied that it was not the same… pic.twitter.com/uMY6fKC5DM — Facts (@BefittingFacts) October 31, 2023 The singer said in a statement, “No matter what I do, some people will find something to bring it against me. A lot of clothes, jewellery and phones were thrown at me by the audience at my first show in London. I was there to perform, not to see what got thrown at me and what is on it. The team has worked very hard for the last couple of months to perform for you all. STOP SPREADING HATE AND NEGATIVITY.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by SHUBH (@shubhworldwide) Shubh has been in the news before.
