From BTS’ Kim Taehyung’s viral pictures which left fans teary-eyed, to BLACKPINK’s Lisa launching her solo label, here’s what happened in the world of Korean entertainment.
Kim Taehyung’s spotting
On Thursday, pictures of BTS’ Kim Taehyung were shared by Yonhap News, a South Korean media outlet. The photos showed him getting ready to leave Chuncheon Station in Gangwon-do for the 2nd Military Police Corps.

Taehyung was seen wearing his military uniform and a mask in the viral pictures. According to reports, he will now serve the rest of his military duty at the 2nd Military Police Corps, also known as the Double Dragons. One of the fans commented on the pictures, “Stay safe my dear, so proud of you. Miss you sooo much Kim Taehyung.” V enlisted for his mandatory military service alongside Kim Namjoon on December 11, 2023.
Lisa’s new label
BLACKPINK’s Lisa has launched her own solo label called LLOUD. She shared the news on Instagram on February 8. The label aims to create diverse experiences and connect with different generations. Making the announcement, Lisa wrote, “Join me on this exciting journey to push through new boundaries together.” Fellow band member Jennie had also announced her own management agency, Odd Atelier, last year.

SM Entertainment’s comeback plan
SM Entertainment shared their plans for 2024, called SM 3.0. They announced comebacks and events for their artistes. In February, there’s a Super Junior-L.S.S Asia tour, Taeyong’s first solo concert, Ten’s Asia tour, SMTOWN LIVE 2024, and SHINee’s Japan tour finale. In the second half, expect RIIZE’s single and mini album, aespa’s first full-length album, concerts from NCT DREAM and aespa, and fan meetings from Super Junior-L.S.S and NCT’s Ten.
