Hailey Bieber says ‘people made her feel bad’ about relationship with Justin Bieber, explains why she revealed pregnancy

Hailey spoke about  their decision to announce the pregnancy publicly,  revealed she wanted to enjoy her pregnancy without secrecy. She shared, “I probably could have hidden it until the end, but I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly,” she told W Magazine, adding, “I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”

In the magazine’s cover story, Hailey reflected on her emotional journey and time with Justin before their baby arrives. “In the beginning of pregnancy, it was super emotional for me. Like, I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?” she shared, stressing that before the arrival of their baby, she is spending quality time with Justin,  “trying to soak in these days.”

Reflecting on her relationship with Justin, Hailey told opened up about  finding the criticisms around their relationship painful. “People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one… I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, but it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less,” she added.  For the unversed, fans of Selena Gomez, who Justin dated before Hailey, have constantly trolled her for being with the “Baby” singer.  Justin, who recently performed at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, and Hailey started dating  each other just six months after breaking up with the “Wolves” singer.

Earlier this year, rumours of the couple going through ‘difficult times’ surfaced.  Hailey explained her initial desire for privacy was due to her small size. “I was able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time. I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant.”

The model also spoke about not being  “super close with my family,” during her pregnancy as she is focusing on her independence and new family, describing the early pregnancy as “super emotional,” considering her family dynamic.

The 27-year-old, who currently experiencing intense morning sickness, joked, “I don’t know why they call it that because it lasts all day long.”

Justin and Hailey Bieber have been married since September 2018, initially tying the knot in a low-key New York ceremony, followed by a grand celebration in South Carolina.  The entrepreneur, who took the call to tie the knot with Justin merely at the age of 21, said,  “I wouldn’t tell a 21-year-old in the chair right there, ‘I think you should get married.’ It’s really each individual’s experience.”

Earlier, in a 2019 interview published in Elle, Hailey reflected on getting married young. “I was married when I was 21, two months before I turned 22, which is insanely young. It sounds almost ridiculous when you say it out loud. We’ve seen a lot for our age. We have both lived enough life to know that’s what we wanted,” she added.
