EXO’s Kai shares his buzz cut ahead of military enlistment, fans react: ‘A handsome egg’

K-Pop singer and EXO’s lead dancer Kai recently debuted his buzzed head ahead of the day he is said to leave for mandatory military enlistment. The artiste shared his new look with excited fans on his social media.

“It’s the first time that the wind is blowing through my head,” Kai stated as he posted his selfie. Fans flooded his comments section and shared his look on social media along with complimentary comments. One user wrote, “KAI SELFIE OHMYGOD HE IS SO HANDSOME.” Another mentioned, “Kai really keeps his promise.” One fan wrote, “That doesn’t look bad.” A netizen hilariously called him ‘handsome egg’ and tweeted, “Handsome egg let’s put him in the egg tray guys.” One person wondered if it has been edited, “It’s true right? It’s not edited?”

Earlier, EXO’s agency SM Entertainment had shared a note as it announced of Kai’s sudden departure for his compulsory army duties.

“Hello, this is SM Entertainment. We are delivering sudden news regarding Kai’s enlistment date. Although Kai had been preparing for EXO’s comeback later this year, due to recent changes in the law regarding military enlistment, Kai will be enlisting on May 11 to complete his basic training, after which he will begin working as a social worker. To respect Kai’s wishes to quietly enlist, we are not revealing the place and time at which he will enlist. We also ask that fans understand that any scheduled events on that day will be canceled,” read the complete statement of the agency.

Kai debuted with EXO more than a decade ago as a singer and dancer.
