Coldplay creates history with the ‘biggest concert ever’ in Ahmedabad: ‘Totally mind-blowing’

Coldplay created history with its biggest concert ever in Ahmedabad on Saturday. The British rock band performed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, which accommodated over 1 lakh fans.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Coldplay posted a photo of the band’s concert at the stadium in Ahmedabad and wrote, “Our biggest ever concert. Totally mind-blowing. Thank you Ahmedabad. See you again tomorrow – and if you’re in India, please join us on Disney+ Hotstar from 7.45pm.”

For the unversed, Coldpay will perform at the same venue on Sunday. Their concert will be livestreamed on Disney+ Hotstar in India on the occasion of Republic Day.

Earlier, Coldplay shared another moment from the stadium, in which they drew a cricket ball and wrote “Ahmedabad, 1/25”. The caption of the post read, “I think even Jasprit might struggle to bowl with this badly drawn ball, but at least it is almost Spherical. It is such a pleasure to be here at this amazing stadium and to play in Ahmedabad for the very first time.”

Meanwhile, as reported by The Indian Express on Friday, the Ahmedabad City police arrested two men for illegally selling tickets for Coldplay concert for Saturday and Sunday shows.
