BTS Monuments – Beyond The Star trailer: Suga confesses he was ‘going to run away’ from the pressure
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star will stream on Disney+ from December 20.

South Korean boy-band BTS, who are on hiatus as they fulfil mandatory military service, will soon be seen in a Disney+ docu-series titled BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star. The streaming platform dropped the eight-episode show’s trailer on Tuesday, ahead of its release on December 20. The South Korean boy band consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
The docu-series is being released on the occasion of the band’s 10-year anniversary, and will trace how they became ’21st-century pop icons”. The trailer showcases the rise of K Pop, the training that the band members underwent in their journey to become icons, and how they dealt with the pandemic.
Watch the trailer here:
BTS’s record label Hybe said in a press statement that the show will offer a “glimpse into the countless obstacles and challenges the band encountered in reaching their global career-defining milestones, as well as the members’ daily lives and inner thoughts.” In one scene, RM can he heard saying, “We worked our tails off, life was difficult,” and Suga confessed, “I was going to run away, for real.”
In addition to their massive success, we also get to see how the boys dealt with their shows being cancelled during the pandemic. The trailer’s highlight are the scenes centred around the band’s Permission to Dance stadium tour.
The trailer comes at a time when four of the band members — Jimin, Jung Kook, V and RM — have officially started their military enlistment process.
