Crazy stuff.” A comment read, “This is not called humble, this is unhygienic.” “Go backstage, do it come back! This is so not cool!” wrote a netizen, while another one commented, “He should have thought about it before going on stage. So unprepared to play the guitar.”

Despite the criticism, some fans came to the singer’s defense, stating that he was having difficulty playing the guitar due to his long nails. “He did that so that he could tap through his guitars a lil better I think,” wrote a fan.

In a separate incident, the Vida Karo singer failed to recognise Pakistani actor Mahira Khan, who was seated in the front row of another Dubai concert. However, he later apologised and gave her a shoutout.
