Mammootty has not only ruled Malayalam cinema, alongside his contemporary Mohanlal, as an indomitable superstar for the past four decades but has also captivated audiences with numerous spectacular performances, cementing his status as one of the finest actors in the country. Recently, actor Anumol shared her experience working with Mammootty, whom she has always admired and cherished, in the segment Kadugannawa: Oru Yathra Kurippu from the anthology streaming series Manorathangal (2024). "Before that, I had only seen Mammookka (Mammootty) on screen. Since the film used sync sound, whenever the shoot started, everyone not involved in the scene would be asked to leave. But I remained glued to the monitor so that I could watch him perform. I wanted to understand how he used his body for the character," she shared during a chat with Can Channel Media. "These qualities have all contributed to his superstardom and enduring legacy," she added. Anumol further revealed that she even took a photograph of Mammootty’s feet while working with him. "I wanted to study everything — his acting, his dressing and even the way he moves his hands and feet while performing. No one will believe this, but I once took a photo of his feet. I was constantly observing him from head to toe," she said.
