Veteran actor Sreenivasan’s comments on Malayalam superstar Mohanlal have shocked fans and industry insiders. Now, Sreenivasan’s son Dhyan has admitted that his father had crossed the line by calling Mohanlal a hypocrite. When Prem Nazir passed away, Mohanlal said that he wanted to act in the directorial venture of the iconic actor but was unable to. However, in a recent interview, Sreenivasan said that it was Mohanlal who turned down Nazir’s film. He then called the Malayalam superstar a hypocrite and said he would write about it before he dies. On top of that, Sreenivasan also said that things have never been good between him and Mohanlal. His statement left fans and celebrities perplexed, and even filmmaker Priyadarshan, who has worked with both Sreenivasan and Mohanlal, wondered why the actor made such comments. Now, Sreenivasan’s son Dhyan Sreenivasan has said that his father has crossed a line by making such statements about Mohanlal. In an interview, he was quoted as saying, “Let’s not go into whether or not what he said was true or false (my dad doesn’t lie). But my agony is why he has to say all that now. There are good things to say. He spoke about hypocrisy, and I think most people in the world are hypocrites, including politicians.” Dhyan said that there was a rift between Mohanlal and Sreenivasan after the latter acted in the spoof film Padmasree Bharat Dr Saroj Kumar, which mocked Mohanlal indirectly. “All said and done, my day was spoiled thanks to my father. And that remains unchanged. Maybe they might reunite for another film. We all want to see that happen. I know they share a good bond, and I heard they are trying to sort out issues between them. I want them to make a film together. That’s why I am saying this. Just the fact that Mohanlal never commented on this issue shows how well he knows my father,” he said.
