Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj has hinted at the possibility of teaming up with megastar Mammootty for a film. However, while the prospect of witnessing these two powerhouses share the screen once again has fans buzzing with anticipation, logistical hurdles stand in the way of this potential collaboration.
Addressing the speculation surrounding their joint venture, Prithviraj, during an interview with a popular YouTube channel, disclosed that both he and Mammootty were drawn to a particular story, indicating mutual interest in the project. However, the primary challenge lies in Mammootty’s jam-packed schedule, as the veteran actor has committed to a slew of back-to-back movies.
“We heard a story. People keep saying it would be great if Mammootty and I worked together again. There’s a story we both like, but Mammootty is very busy with back-to-back movies. So, making this film would be a challenge,” Prithviraj revealed.
The potential collaboration between Prithviraj and Mammootty holds significant promise, especially considering their respective contributions to Malayalam cinema over the years. Both actors are currently at the peak of their respective careers. Prithviraj was last seen in Aadujeevitham, which turned out to be one of the biggest pan-Indian projects from Malayalam cinema. On the other hand, Mammootty has been churning out one incredible film after another with Brahmayugam being the latest one.
Mammootty and Prithviraj last shared screen space in the hit film Pokkiri Raja, which released in 2010.
