Nunakkuzhi teaser: Basil Joseph is a ‘seasoned crook’ in Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming comedy

Eby is the head of Poozhikunnel Group of Concern, which includes subsidiaries like Poozhikunnel Resorts, Holiday Homes, Constructions, Estate, and more. However, a cop (Baiju Santhosh) labels him “a seasoned crook” and orders his subordinate to “slap every possible charge on him and ensure he gets locked up”.

Though Eby insists he doesn’t need to steal to survive, the teaser also shows him scaling a compound wall in the dark, looking quite suspicious. As the video progresses, it reveals various characters in the film, all appearing equally cunning and deceitful. The teaser concludes with Grace Antony’s character stuffing someone into a car trunk.

The film also stars Nikhila Vimal, Siddique, Manoj K Jayan, Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup, Binu Pappu, Althaf Salim, Shyam Mohan, Azeez Nedumangad, Swasika and Lena in key roles. Written by KR Krishna Kumar, Nunakkuzhi is produced by Saregama in collaboration with Bedtime Stories. While the cinematography is handled by Satheesh Kurup, Vinayak VS edited the movie for which music was composed by Jay Unnithan and Vishnu Shyam.

Nunakkuzhi marks Jeethu Joseph’s return to the comedy genre after five years, following Mr & Ms Rowdy (2019). The Basil Joseph and Grace Antony-starrer is set to release on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day.
