Naslen K Gafoor, Mamitha Baiju to headline Bhavana Studios’ next venture

Taking to social media to announce the project, Dileesh Pothan wrote, “Girish AD, known for helming Thanneer Mathan Dinangal and Super Sharanya, will be directing the fifth film to be produced by me, Shyam and Fahadh under the banner of Bhavana Studios. Naslen and Mamitha Baiju will play the lead roles in the film and the shooting will begin this month. We look forward to your cooperation so far. Thanks.” Pothan also shared a picture showing him with director Girish and co-producers Fahadh and Syam.

In a recent conversation with The Indian Express, Pothan mentioned his inclination towards backing quality projects. “When I consider taking on a film, my main criteria is whether it’s a project worth supporting wholeheartedly. Therefore, I gravitate towards working on movies that possess depth and substance. From a production standpoint, we do take commercial elements into account. However, rather than being involved in a multitude of films, I prefer to back quality projects. Not every film will achieve success, of course. Nevertheless, our motto is to exert maximum effort and deliver high-quality movies that audiences can rely on,” he stated.

In addition to his work as a co-writer on Bilahari’s Allu Ramendran, Girish AD has also directed multiple short films.

While Naslen K Gafoor was last seen in Sudhi Maddison’s Neymar, his latest movie Journey of Love 18+, helmed by Arun D Jose, is getting ready for release. Mamitha Baiju, on the other hand, was last seen in Nikhil Muraly’s Pranaya Vilasam.
