Just as much as he is renowned and revered for his unparalleled acting talent, Malayalam megastar Mammootty is also noted for his apparel and accessories, as he never misses the chance to stand out with his fashion choices. From outfits that align with the aesthetics of the respective era to sleek wearables and gears that are yet to achieve popularity in the public domain, Mammootty has often introduced the Malayali population to emerging fashion trends well before they might have otherwise reached them. Among the many possessions he has are luxury watches that he has often flaunted during various events.

Now, another one of Mammootty’s watches has grabbed the attention of netizens, not just because it costs millions but also due to his choice to go with such a stylish piece. On his 74th birthday, the Malayalam megastar’s son, actor-producer Dulquer Salmaan, shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, indirectly explaining how elated he and the entire family were over Mammootty’s recovery following a health scare. Along with a long note, Dulquer also shared a black-and-white photo of the legendary actor, wherein he was seen looking through the viewfinder of his camera, capturing a moment.

On his left wrist was a watch that quickly caught the eye of fans, who began researching to find out which brand it belonged to and how much it cost. Social media content creator Effin M, known for doing videos about gadgets and apparel used by celebrities, has found out more details regarding the luxury watch that apparently takes quite some time to reach customers after placing an order.

According to Effin, Mammootty is wearing the ultra-luxury brand Patek Philippe’s 5205G-013 annual calendar watch in the photo. The gear belongs to the company’s “everyday complication” series. One of the oldest watch manufacturers in the world, Patek Philippe was established in 1839 in Geneva. Recognisable by its three day-date-month apertures arranged along the arc of a circle, Mammootty’s watch features an alligator leather strap with square scales, hand-stitched in shiny black leather, and secured with a white gold prong buckle, according to Patek Philippe’s official website. The self-winding timepiece boasts a two-tone blue sunburst dial, along with a 24-hour indicator and moon phase display at the 6 o’clock position.

While it can take years to acquire this model through the manufacturer’s official channels, the watch’s market price in 2025 is around Rs 48.39 lakh. White gold has been used for its dauphine-style hands, which are finished with a white luminescent coating.

Last seen in Bazooka, Mammootty is currently gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated crime thriller Kalamkaval, wherein he shares the screen with Vinayakan. The Malayalam megastar will soon rejoin the sets of Mahesh Narayanan’s Patriot, which marks his on-screen reunion with fellow superstar Mohanlal after several years.
