Malaikottai Valiban new poster out: Mohanlal is at the center of aghoris and babas in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s next

If Kalki AD 2989 is the next big thing in the Telugu film industry, Malayalam cinema has Malaikottai Valiban. The film brings together Malayalam cinema’s two greatest talents, Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery. The director, one of the few who is referred to as an auteur, attained such a state with films like Jallikattu, Ee.Ma.You, and recent Mammootty film, Nanpagal Nerathu Mayakkam. The hype for the film is enormous as fans are waiting to see what he can do with ‘the complete actor’. Meanwhile, a new poster of the film has been released, creating more intrigue about the film.

In the poster, a menacing Mohanlal is sitting at the center of what looks like a ritual. He is surrounded by his fellow babas, priests, and aghoris. Everyone seems to be worshipping the man at the center, while he is gazing at the camera, breaking the fourth wall.

Till now, the plot and other details of the film have not been unveiled. While the film is assumed to be a period fantasy, it is unclear what the film is actually about and who is playing the titular role of Malaikottai Valiban.

Other than Mohanlal, Malaikottai Valiban has Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait Katha Nandi, and Manikandan R. Achari in important roles. Prashanth Pillain, who worked with the director in Jallikattu and Ee.Ma.Yau, has once again teamed with him for Malaikottai Valiban, which will be released on January 25.
