Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan honours cast and crew of Cannes Grand Prix-winning All We Imagine As Light

CM Vijayan took to Twitter and congratulated the four Malayali actors who were part of All We Imagine As Light - Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Azees Nedumangad and Hridhu Haroon.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan honoured the cast members of the film All We Imagine As Light on June 13, for their outstanding achievement at the recently held Cannes Film Festival. The film, directed by Payal Kapadia, won the prestigious Grand Prix award at Cannes, after having become the first Indian film to be selected for the prestigious main competition segment in three decades.

Actors Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Hridhu Haroon, and Aziz Nedumangad, who delivered compelling performances in the film, were honoured by the CM. Cinematographer Santosh Sivan, who received the Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography Award at Cannes, was also honoured for his exceptional work.

Taking to Twitter, CM Vijayan praised the team and shared a picture with the film’s cast and crew, stating, “Honoured the four Malayali actors Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Azees Nedumangad and Hridhu Haroon who played main roles in the Grand Prix-winning film All We Imagine as Light at @Festival_Cannes. Also, congratulated others who made Indian cinema proud at Cannes. In the wake of the Kuwait tragedy, the ceremony was held without any festivities. Wishing all the artists greater success in future.”

All We Imagine As Light explores the lives of two nurses from Kerala, colleagues and roommates, navigating personal struggles. Their lives take a transformative turn during a trip to a coastal town, offering a poignant narrative that resonated with international audiences.
