JSK first look poster: Suresh Gopi turns lawyer in this legal thriller that asserts ‘truth shall always prevail’

JSK is directed by Pravin Narayanan and also stars Anupama Parameswaran in a key role, besides Suresh Gopi.

Two days after winning as an MP from the Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala, becoming the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) first parliamentarian from the state, Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi has unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming movie, Janaki v/s State of Kerala (JSK). Touted as a legal thriller, JSK is directed by Pravin Narayanan and also stars Anupama Parameswaran in a key role.

The poster features Suresh Gopi’s silhouette in the middle as he stands in a courtroom, donning his lawyer’s gown, and surrounded by his colleagues. “I know what I am doing and will continue doing the same,” reads the text on the poster. The film’s title is also accompanied by the tagline, “Truth shall always prevail.”

Although the movie’s production wrapped up in November 2023 after a year-long shoot, there hasn’t been much news about JSK. In June last year, on the occasion of Suresh Gopi’s birthday, the filmmakers released a teaser, cashing in on his star power and powerful dialogue delivery. The promo begins with a reporter questioning him about his decision to represent the accused in a high-profile case against a girl. Calmly, he responds, “I know what I am doing and will continue doing so.”

Bankrolled by J Phanindra Kumar and Raaffi Mathirra, the film’s script is penned by director Pravin Narayanan. Renadive handles its cinematography and Samjith Mohammed is the editor. Suresh Gopi’s last film appearance was in director Arun Varma’s crime thriller Garudan.
