C U Soon director Mahesh Narayanan’s Mohanlal-Mammootty film goes on floors
The Malayalam film is tentatively titled MMMN and stars Mohanlal, Mammootty, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara, among others.

After months of speculations, the Mahesh Narayanan project, headlined by Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty, has finally gone on the floors. The film’s pooja and switch-on ceremony took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Wednesday, with both superstars in attendance, along with several key members of the cast and crew. Kunchacko Boban also plays an important role in the movie.
Bankrolled by Anto Joseph under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company, the Malayalam film is tentatively titled MMMN. The production kicked off with Mohanlal performing the lighting of the lamp. Co-producers Subash Manuel and CR Salim were also present, with Manuel handling the switch-on and Salim giving the first clap.
In the initial schedule, Mohanlal and Mammootty will film scenes together in Sri Lanka. Film production company Aashirvad Cinemas’ founder Antony Perumbavoor also attended the ceremony and shared some moments with the Big Ms.
According to Cue Studio, in addition to Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Kunchacko Boban, the ambitious MMMN also stars Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara, among others. Prakash Belawadi, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, Zarin Shihab, Renji Panicker, Rajiv Menon, Danish Husain, Shaheen Siddique and Sanal Aman are also reportedly part of the movie.

The film’s cinematography is handled by Manush Nandan, known for his work on Dunki, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Joseph Nellikal serves as the production designer, while Ranjith Ambadi and Dhanya Balakrishnan handle the makeup and costume departments, respectively. The film will reportedly be shot across several locations, including Sri Lanka, London, Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Delhi and Kochi, over a span of 150 days.
Renowned for his editing work in films such as Vishwaroopam, Vishwaroopam II, Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla, Mumbai Police, Nirnayakam, Uyare and Nayattu, Mahesh’s directorial ventures — Take Off, C U Soon, Mālik, Malayankunju and Ariyippu — have all been very well received.
