Bigg Boss Malayalam contestant Adhila opens up about falling in love with her lesbian partner Noora in school: ‘We got into a relationship in Plus Two’
As they continue to make strides in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7, a particular incident has caught the attention of viewers, wherein Adhila Nasarin talked about how she fell in love with Fathima Noora.

Adhila Nasarin and Fathima Noora are not just the names of two young women deeply in love with each other. It is their determined battle to ensure a life together that resulted in a landmark Kerala High Court judgment, allowing mutually consenting adults, irrespective of their gender, to “be left to live their lives as per their informed choice”. The couple has since become a beacon of hope and courage for lesbian partners, who are often separated by regressive societal mindsets and familial pressure.
Now, Adhila and Noora are busy penning another chapter in their lives as they recently entered Malayalam superstar Mohanlal-hosted reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 as contestants. As they continue to make strides in the house, a particular incident has caught the attention of viewers, wherein Adhila talked about how she fell in love with Noora. This moment — a clip of which has since gone viral on social media — received immense love and support from both their housemates and the audience.
Recalling meeting Noora for the first time, Adhila said, “I met Noora when we were in Plus One (11th grade). We got into a relationship when we entered Plus Two (12th grade). I had a crush on her. The moment she first walked into our class for the first time, I felt an attraction. She used to come wearing a shawl and looked very cute. It was when I saw Noora that I realised I could feel attracted to a girl.”
She continued, “I really love Noora’s lips. I had only seen people with lips like hers in movies. I once told her, ‘Had one of us been a man, it would’ve been so easy for us to get married.’ She said she had felt the same way. That’s when we both realised we had mutual feelings for each other.”

Mentioning that Noora had already started receiving many marriage proposals by then, Adhila shared that the pressure on her had increased. “Hilariously, my parents enrolled me, a person attracted to women, in a women’s college. But I never felt anything for anyone at that college because Noora was already in my heart. When we decided to leave home and live together, I was scared, wondering if we’d have to wash dishes in someone’s home to survive or end up living under the Palarivattom bridge.”
She added, “But today, I’m incredibly happy to be sharing a platform in a programme watched by millions with the woman who’s going to be my wife.” Adhila’s words moved not only Noora but also the other contestants, who erupted in cheers and applause as the couple shared a warm hug.
