Prithviraj Sukumaran and Blessy’s labour of love, Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life, is turning out to be quite a favourite of the moviegoers. According to Sacnilk, the survival drama film made Rs 6.5 crore on its second day, taking its nett box office total to Rs 14.1 crore across the country. The film’s makers claimed its global opening day collection to be Rs 16.7 crore.

Prithviraj’s film witnessed an overall 75.09 percent occupancy for its Malayalam version on Friday, with almost 80 percent of the audience catching the film’s show in the afternoon. Since Friday was a holiday in most parts of the country, the film seemed to have benefitted from it. Along with Malayalam, Aadujeevitham also released in other languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The film witnessed an overall 22.13 percent occupancy in Tamil, 14.43 percent in Telugu.

Aadujeevitham is releasing shortly after Manjummel Boys, which became the first Malayalam film to cross the Rs 200 crore mark. Manjummel Boys released on in Malayalam and after over a month in theatres, the film is now also releasing in Telugu. Aadujeevitham has released in various languages so it might give competition to Manjummel Boys’ collection but since it has released on more screens across the country, it wouldn’t be wise to compare the two films.
