The 41-year-old ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ actor won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in 2012 silent film ‘The Artist’, reported Variety.

“There’s a big fantasy around the Oscar but I never bought it. It was a fabulous experience but after all, I’m a French actor, I’m not American and I love performing in my language,” Jean said.

The actor, who took on roles in Hollywood blockbusters ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and in ‘The Monuments Men’ with George Clooney, said he would like to star in ambitious European arthouse movies like ‘The Wonders’.
