The rage of the popular app game, Angry Birds may have died down, but they seem to be making a comeback with an upcoming film. Sony Pictures along with Rovio Entertainment have released the first trailer of ‘The Angry Birds Movie’ and we find it’s better than what we thought it might be, considering that Angry Birds is in fact making history by becoming the first mobile game to be adapted into a big budget animated film. Though the birds don’t necessarily resemble the cuddly yet furious fowl in the app, there’s a depiction of their anger issues and the steps they take to curb it, one being to enroll in anger management sessions. We get a glimpse of the big Red bird, the tiny blue ones, the bombers and the frisky yellow ones. But, the trailer is devoid of slingshots and pig-aimed wreckage. Directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis, ‘The Angry Birds Movie’ stars Jason Sudeikis, Josh Grad, Danny McBride, Maya Randolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage. The film is slated for a summer release next year.
