Mark Wahlberg set to host 2014 Kids’ Choice Awards

‘Max Payne’ star Mark Wahlberg has been roped in to host Nickelodeon’s 27th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards.

The event, which takes place at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center, will air on March 29, reported E!Online.

“We are thrilled to welcome a superstar like Mark Wahlberg as he takes the helm as our master of ceremonies at the biggest kid event of the year,” said Nickelodeon’s Russell Hicks.

“We can’t wait for him to host and have lots of slime-filled fun with Hollywood’s biggest stars and our audience,” Hicks added. The 42-year-old actor, will be next be seen in director Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’.

Josh Duhamel hosted the show last year.
