Frank Oz returns as Yoda in new ‘Star Wars Rebels’ video

Frank Oz as Yoda won't be physically appearing in the episode - it is just his voice.

Frank Oz is returning as the voice of Yoda for an upcoming episode of ‘Star Wars Rebels’.

A new clip from the episode titled ‘Path of the Jedi’ has been released, with the original voice of Yoda reprising his role, reported Digital Spy.

However, Yoda won’t be physically appearing in the episode – it is just his voice.

This is because the show is set in the time between ‘Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith’ and ‘Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope’, and to have Yoda physically appear would not fit the Star Wars timeline.

‘Star Wars Rebels’ centres around the adventures of Jedi Knights Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger and the rest of their crew, travelling on a ship called the Ghost, as they work to evade the Galactic Empire.

The episode will air on the Disney Channel in the New Year.
