Zara Hatke Zara Bachke box office collection Day 2: Vicky Kaushal-Sara Ali Khan starrer earns Rs 7.20 crore

Starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has a buy one get one ticket offer, valid until Sunday. The true test for the movie, however, will commence on Monday, as it strives to sustain its performance.

In addition, the film faces competition from the animated Hollywood superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. After raking in approximately 8.20 crore in its initial two days, the new Spider-Man film earned around Rs 6.50-7 crore on its third day.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke marks Vicky Kaushal’s second highest opening in a lead role, following the success of Uri: The Surgical Strike. For Sara Ali Khan, it stands as her fourth biggest opening after Simmba, Love Aaj Kal, and Kedarnath.

The film opened to mixed reviews. The Indian Express’ Shubhra Gupta gave the movie two stars. She wrote in her review, “In the way it gets going, Zara Hatke is pure sitcom territory. But the film never quite builds on its comic potential, by throwing a tonal switch somewhere down in its second-half, introducing a plot twist doused in mothballed sentimentality, and adding a dreary sanskari layer to the whole thing. That, and by consistently flat writing, which overcomes the efforts of the actors.”
