Yesteryear actress Sadhana, along with designer and BJP leader Shaina NC, today met Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Atul Kulkarni urging him to intervene in her case against a builder and provide her protection. There is a dispute between Sadhana and a real estate developer regarding her house in Santacruz.

Shaina NC took to Twitter to post a picture of herself with the veteran actress while they were on their way to Kulkarni’s office.

Last year in June, Sadhana got into a dispute with a real estate developer in connection with the redevelopment of a 3,000 sq feet bungalow in Santacruz and was summoned by a local magistrate’s court in connection with a private complaint filed by builder Yusuf Lakdawala for making defamatory statements against him alleging that he had threatened the actress.

Alleging that Lakdawala had threatened her on several occasions, Sadhana in August 2010 lodged a complaint with the Santacruz police. Following the complaint, Lakdawala was arrested in November and let off on bail after a day.

Soon after his release, the builder had approached the Bandra metropolitan magistrate claiming that he has been falsely implicated in the case and defamed by Sadhana.

Sadhana resides on the ground floor of a two-storey bungalow ‘Sangeeta’ with her niece and servants. The bungalow is owned by singer Asha Bhonsle.
