When Sunny Deol spoke about dealing with rumours about his love life, whether it impacted wife Pooja: ‘I don’t know if…’
An old 1984 interview featuring Sunny Deol has resurfaced on the Internet. The video shows the actor's response on being romantically linked with various Bollywood actors.

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s anger isn’t limited to the silver screen. In earlier interviews, the actor candidly acknowledged his quick temper, sharing anecdotes of tearing his jeans in anger on the sets of Darr and confronting individuals at a cricket stadium for throwing cigarette butts at him. Now, an old interview from 1984, conducted during the shooting of Sunny Deol and Sridevi’s 1989 film Joshilaay in Vancouver, has resurfaced, revealing his take on dealing with baseless rumours about his love life.
During the ITMB interview, Sunny was asked about his views on being romantically linked to various actresses, to which he replied in Hindi, “Well, such things happen, it’s part of the game.” When asked whether such news reaches his then-fiancee and now-wife, Pooja Deol, Sunny replied, “I don’t know if it reaches her. There’s nothing like that.”
Further inquired about whether he felt angry when rumours circulated about him dating Amrita Singh, he playfully said, “Picture line join karne se pehle dekha hai maine log kya likhte hai, toh ye sab kuch sehna padta hai. Gussa aata hai kabhi kabhi jab woh kuch zyada he utpatang likh dete hai, toh fir koe mila toh usko pakadke mar dena, aur kya karna (Before entering the film line, I’ve seen what people write, so you have to endure all this. Sometimes, when they write excessively absurd things, you do feel angry. In such cases, if you happen to meet someone, you might just grab them and give them a piece of your mind. What else can you do?)”
Currently, Sunny is basking in the success of his film Gadar 2, which has crossed the remarkable Rs 500 crore mark. In the film, Sunny reprised his iconic role as Tara Singh from the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and journeyed across the border to Pakistan to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film also featured Ameesha Patel as Sakina.
