You read it right!

Akshay Kumar plays himself in the remake of 1982-film ‘Shaukeen’ by a slightly different name – ‘The Shaukeens’. The erstwhile ‘Shaukeen’ starred Utpal Dutt, Ashok Kumar and AK Hangal as the three lecherous men. This time around they are – Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra. Rati Agnihotri’s role is reprised by Lisa Haydon, who is obsessed with the ‘alcoholic superstar’ – Akshay Kumar.

The trailer opens with the three old men trying to find ways to enrich their lives with some girl fun and what follows is an absolute delight to watch.

National Award winning actor Annu Kapoor catches the eye with some effortless acting, while Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra look adorable. Lisa Haydon is a screen scorcher. Akshay Kumar, we just wish, isn’t as arrogant in real as shown in the trailer.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the movie is slated to release on November 7 and going by the fun trailer, it promises to be bigger than expected.
