Vivek Oberoi reveals what he and wife Priyanka Alva fight over, shares how he makes up: ‘She only wants my love, time’
Vivek Oberoi shares his wife never asks for diamonds, fancy bags, or cars. The couple tied the knot in 2010.

Vivek Oberoi, who didn’t believe in serious relationships during a particular phase of his life, fell for his now-wife Priyanka Alva, after he met her for the first time. The couple then tied the knot in 2010, and are parents to two kids. Now, after over 14 years of their marriage, Vivek revealed the only thing they both fight over.
In an interview with IndiaTV, the actor revealed he and his wife fight over time. He said, “I am very lucky. I must have done something really good or maybe it’s my parents’ blessings that I am blessed with such a wonderful wife. We only fight over time. My wife doesn’t want diamonds, fancy bags, or cars, she just wants my love and time. She wants to spend good time with our children and family. I am quite a workaholic, and I am trying to balance things, but I have so much on my plate that I can’t help it. Plus, I am a perfectionist, and committed, I give my best to all my work. So, I tell people one thing, if your wife is fighting with you for your time, then you are extremely lucky.”
Revealing how he makes it up for her after every fight, Vivek Oberoi shared, “When my wife gets upset, what I do is I wake up before her. She is a South Indian, she loves coffee. I have learnt to make her favourite filter coffee, and I make it with perfection. I take it to her in a decorated tray, play nice music, and wake her up. It brings a little smile on her face. When she has the first sip of it, she says ‘I am still upset with you’, by the time she takes the last sip of her coffee, her anger slips away.”
Previously, in an interview with Curly Tales, Vivek Oberoi revealed, “I didn’t want to get married, I was partying away. I was like no serious relationships. Its too much stress, too much complications. I had my fatherly emotion satisfied with my nieces and nephews. So, I was like, why to get married. My mom said, ‘meet this one girl, meet her and if you don’t like her, you say no, after that I will never tell you to meet anybody else but meet this one.’”
He added, “I planned to meet her in the afternoon. I thought, I will meet her as a formality, I will take the flight and head back home. One thing led to another, I realised I missed my flight. And then I ended up staying two-three days extra because I just didn’t want to leave. I was flat in love with her like the first 2 hours. It was like love at first sight.”
The actor, who lives in Dubai for his business ventures, is all set to make a comeback to the big screen with the fourth installment of Masti, alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani.
