Vijay Varma recalls his ‘lowest low’, had only Rs 18 in his bank account: ‘I could either eat panipuri or idli’

In a recent podcast, Vijay Varma spoke about his struggle and recalled why he never took money from home.

Actor Vijay Varma has carved a niche for himself in the movies but the actor saw a long struggle before he made a name for himself in Hindi films. During a recent interview, Vijay recalled a time when he had just Rs 18 left in his bank account and shared that this was probably the lowest time of his life.

Talking on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Vijay said, “It was a very bad time, it was my lowest low. There were just Rs 18 in my account and I could either eat panipuri or idli.” When asked why he was in such a state even though he came from a household with a comfortable income, Vijay shared, “I had stopped taking money from home because my father wasn’t talking to me.”

Vijay shared, “I was told that if my rent and allowance was sorted, I would not work hard, so I should let that fire within me get strong. In 2-3 months, I was left with nothing, that time I played a small role for money and it was a very bad experience. So it was the lowest low of my life.”

Earlier during the promotions of Mirzapur 3, Vijay had spoken about his relationship with his father with indianexpress.com. Recalling the time he decided to become an actor, Vijay said that when he told his father about his acting aspirations, he was thrown out of the house.

Vijay will next be seen in the Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. The series starts streaming on August 29.
