Actor Vidya Balan recently took to social media to warn fans about “AI-generated and inauthentic” videos of her circulating online. Vidya also advised fans to be wary of misleading AI-generated content.

Sharing an AI-generated clip of herself, Vidya wrote, “There are multiple videos currently circulating on social media and WhatsApp, which appear to feature me. However, I want to clarify that the videos are AI-generated and inauthentic. I have no involvement in its creation or dissemination, nor do I endorse its content in any way. Any claims made in the videos should not be attributed to me, as it does not reflect my views or work. I urge everyone to verify information before sharing and be cautious of misleading AI-generated content. #FakeAlert #StayAware.”

Fans flooded the comments section with reactions to the video. A fan posted, “This is scary the way Scams through AI is invading our lives! Thank you for the alert 🙏❤️, ” while another wrote, “Thanks for spreading awareness, Vidya ma’am! Your voice makes a difference! 🙌⚠️”
A user also added, “The lips moment clearly shows it’s an AI generated video.”
